FAQ's My child is not reliably ‘clean and dry’ yet, does that matter? No, but we ask you to ensure they have supplies of pull-ups/nappies and change of clothes in their bag each morning What do I do if I think my child has special educational needs? Speak with your child’s Key Person, SEND Coordinator and preschool Leader Tamsin Wiseman. When can I put my child’s name on the waiting list? As soon as you want to. It does help with our planning to know who may want to come in any future term and you are not committed to coming if your name is on the list, it just means you will be offered a place nearer the time. Can I visit PreSchool beforehand? Yes, of course you can. You are welcome to just call in any morning or to call us and ‘book’ a visit, giving us the chance to make sure someone is available to show you round and answer any questions you may have. Either way there is no obligation on you, we are more than happy to show you our excellent facilities and activities. When your child is due to start, you will also be invited in for a Taster Session, when we invite you and your child to spend the morning (or part of it if you prefer) at Meppershall PreSchool. This gives the child the chance to join in for the morning and gives you the chance to see what goes on and to complete the necessary forms and documentation. Can I stay with my child when they first start? Yes you can, we are very friendly and welcoming preschool. Where can I find more information? Most of the information you will need can be found on our website. Please do not hesitate to call or email us and we will be happy to answer any questions. How are parents and carers involved in the Pre-School? As a charitable organisation we have a committee which any parent can join. Alternatively parents are encouraged to help out any fund raising events or attend any topic and themes if applicable. If you would like to know more please ask a member of staff or committee member.
